Do you have carpeting in your home? Many people do. For decades, wall-to-wall carpeting was the flooring of choice. While carpeting can feel good to walk on, there can also be some issues with it as well.

First of all, new carpeting has many chemicals in it that can be harmful to your health. A home should be thoroughly aired out after carpeting has been installed in it.

Also, mold and mildew can develop in carpeting over time. Not to mention dust mites, fleas, MUPS (mouse urinary proteins), and a lot more. These obviously don’t sound like something any of us would want in our home.

So before you snuggle up on the floor in that cozy carpet, be sure to make sure it is a healthy environment. Have your carpets professionally cleaned with a high-temperature cleaner, and then dried out properly afterward. Also, be sure to clean up spills and soiled areas as fast as possible.
